Pros
- Easier to start. New gameplay functions and features have made Lineage II more accessible to players just starting out.
- Deeper endgame. More endgame content means that once characters are maxed out in levels, they can still participate in new events and raids.
- New places to explore. Players who have already completed the previous version of Lineage II now have new challenges to conquer.
Cons
- More items to acquire. Endgame characters now need to put in a bit more work to keep themselves viable for high end raids and PvP.
- Awakening classes are not varied. Though classes differ between races, each one of the same kind awakens to the same class.
Lineage II: Goddess of Destruction is the newest expansion on the fantasy MMO Lineage II, adding a large amount of new end-game content, making the entire game free-to-play, and introducing new classes and a higher-level cap. Goddess of Destruction introduces a new awakening mechanic, where max level characters may continue their journey as a new class for an additional 14 levels. Players will need the additional power and capabilities if they are to triumph over the expansion's 60 new raid bosses and explore brand new zones.
For players not already familiar with Lineage II, it is a third person perspective MMO where characters use skills to explore the world around them, gaining levels and items so that they can delve into the deepest and most dangerous dungeons. As players get more powerful, they change into different classes with more capabilities. Goddess of Destruction has also affected newer players by revamping old game features to be more user-friendly, as well as adding new ones to improve user experience. Finally, the lore has been expanded further, allowing players to take part in shaping it as the story progresses.
